IONIA, Smyrna. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Time of Nero, AD 54-68. Æ Assarion (5.31 g, 12h). Ti. Claudius Hieronymos, stephanophorus and Ti. Claudius Sosander, strategus. Struck circa AD 68-69. Bare-headed and draped bust of Senate right / Hexastyle temple façade, pellet in pediment. RPC I 2489; Klose III, Series B, Group a, 21 (V21/R52); SNG Copenhagen 1235. Good VF, green patina with traces of dusty earthen overtones, some rough areas.
